Rádio Armazém is a community web radio, which acts as an online broadcaster of collaborative content, sound art and cyberculture. It was created in May 2015 in order to amplify, disseminate, disseminate and support the cultural and artistic activities of Santa Maria, in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul, and to connect regional cultural scenes from all over Brazil to the world via the web. The radio's objective is to democratize access to the most diverse cultural expressions, giving listeners an original, modern, alternative and experimental program. We believe that the web radio format is a potential channel for interactions in the cultural sphere, combining formal innovation, editorial freedom and a broader connection between artist and audience. Through partnerships with writers, poets, chroniclers, bloggers, musicians and communicators, the radio already has more than 40 direct and indirect collaborators, consolidating a program with 18 programs that address topics such as journalism, sports, gender issues, regional music, games , philosophy, entertainment, pop culture and classical music, totaling 38 hours of unprecedented programming per week.
Armazém works as a device that sets the scene in motion, connecting cultural agents and establishing a common language between different initiatives. It is a channel of resonance for art produced in the city, and an antenna for capturing what is produced beyond local borders.
In 2019, Rádio Armazém won the 2nd place in the election of the best web radio in Brazil held by the PPM (Music Professionals Award) in Brasília.
