In the period between 1995/2003 Radio Moçambique invested in the modernization of its network of broadcasters. In a medium wave, the coverage area during the day extended from 20% to 64% of the territory and at night to 100%, as a result of an installed capacity of 580 KW. In a modulated frequency, the installed power was 30 KW and the coverage reached 35% of the national territory. Currently, in a modulated wave, Radio Moçambique coverage reaches 26.1% of the national territory with an installed power of 90.3 kw. In medium wave, coverage is about 94.4% during the day and 100% at night, with an installed power of 705 kw. The signal from the National Antenna is also picked up by satellite by the Community Radios that, on their own initiative, relay daily the main information magazines. There are ten (10) production centers, covered by 42 broadcasting, editing, musical recording studios and an auditorium studio with capacity for 200 people. Thirty-one generator sets supply energy to the hundreds of emitters and production whenever there are power cuts. RM includes around 800 professionals on a national scale, including journalists, announcers and others related to technical services, administration, finance, advertising and human resources.
